ASTM A420 is a standard specification covering pipe fittings of wrought carbon steel and alloy steel for low-temperature service. This specification covers fittings of seamless and welded construction, such as elbows, tees, reducers, and caps, intended for use in pressure systems at low temperatures.

Grade WPL6 is one of the type of carbon steel specifically designed for low-temperature service. It is suitable for service temperatures as low as -50°F (-45°C)
