Seamless Steel Line Pipe 1" to 42" size

Seamless pipe is formed from a cylindrical bar of steel that is heated to a very high temperature API 5L Seamless Line Pipe applications: transmission of oil, gas and other products, water, and other fluids

Product Introduction

Seamless pipe is formed from a cylindrical bar of steel that is heated to a very high temperature and then is pierced with a probe to create the hole through the cylinder. Rollers size the cylinder to produce the proper diameter and wall thickness. This technique is used to make small diameter pipe, from 0.5 inches to 24 inches in diameter.

API 5L Seamless Line Pipe is made up of a carbon steel material that is corrosion crack resistant and wear resistant. The material has carbon, manganese, chromium, nickel and other elements in trace quantities.

API 5L Seamless Line Pipe applications: Onshore and offshore transmission of oil, gas and other products, water, mineral slurry and other fluids.

The pipes range in diameter from ½ inches to 48 inches. Depending on the application needs, the different diameters of the pipes are used. There are long pipe line applications that transport oil and gas, water and other liquids and gases that use the API 5L Seamless Pipe products. These pipes also come in different lengths namely single random, double random and in cut to length sizes. The wall thicknesses range according to the pressure ratings and t

Steel Grades: API 5L Grade B, X42, X52, X60, X65 up to API 5L X80

Pipe ends: Plain or beveled ends

ANSI / API 5L specifies the manufacture of two product levels (PSL1 and PSL2) of seamless and welded steel pipe for the use of a pipeline in the transportation of petroleum and natural gas. For material use in a sour service application, refer to Annex H; for offshore service application, refer to Annex J of API 5L 45th Edition.
