Australia has made a final ruling on the exemption of China-related precision steel pipes
On 12 September 2022, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission issued Notice No. 2022/071 stating that The minister of industry and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MinisterforIndustryandScience) through the Australia anti-dumping committee on imports from mainland China and South Korea of precision steel tube (PrecisionPipeandTubeSteel) to the anti-dumping investigation final exemption advice, It decided not to impose anti-dumping duties or countervailing duties on the products involved in the case from the Chinese mainland and the Republic of Korea. The measure took effect on November 4, 2021.
The exempted products are described as follows: non-alloy steel welded pipes of any of the following,
1. Single-wall resistance welding according to SAE J526 specification meets all the following conditions:
(1) The carbon content does not exceed 0.13%;
(2) the outer diameter is less than or equal to 11.50 mm;
(3) the wall thickness is greater than or equal to 0.5 mm and less than or equal to 1.0 mm;
2. Double wall copper brazing in accordance with SAE J527 specification meets all the following conditions:
(1) The carbon content does not exceed 0.13%;
(2) the outer diameter is less than or equal to 13 mm;
(3) the wall thickness is greater than or equal to 0.5 mm and less than or equal to 1.0 mm;
